Game of Thrones Season 4

The fourth season of Game of Thrones wrapped up with the finale on Sunday Night (June 15th). I loved it. The entire season was fantastic. I know it’s new and fresh in my mind, but I think it might be my favorite season of TV drama ever. Yeah, ever. It was great.

Here’s my requisite spoiler alert in case anyone but me ever reads this blog! (Note to self look into installing or writing a Spoiler Alert WordPress plugin.)

I was very nervous that Tyrion was going to be killed in the finale. He was “sentenced” to die after the Prince of Dorne lost the trial by combat to the Mountain (despite dominating the fight). I had hoped his brother Jamie would free him, and he did with some help from Varys. I’m not sure where he’s headed, but at least he’s alive. And, he killed (we think) his Father Tywin with a cross bow after killing Shay when he found her in Tywin’s bed.

The other big thing I’ve been waiting (hoping) for is for Arya to make he way to Bravos. I’ve been waiting for this since Jaquen Hagar gave her that iron coin in Season 2 and told her if he ever needed to find her again, give it to anyone from Bravos and say “Valar Magulis.” As the episode, comes to a close, Arya meets a ship’s captain, says the words, and we watch her sail off.

I can’t wait for Season 5…
